File Formats Accepted:  PDF (preferred)

Adobe Photoshop - TIFF, EPS, High Res JPG -CMYK

Corel / Adobe Illustrator Files:

All text converted to outlines and exported to .ai format (do not use patterns)

Black:  A safe, rich formula for black backgrounds and borders is 100K 60C 40M 40Y.  100% black will print out greyish

For black text on a light background use only 100K and not the rich black mix above

Bleed:  If required, should be at 1/8 inch

For example, for a standard size business card, page size should be 3.5 x 2 inches    

With bleed, page size should be 3.75 x 2.25 inches

Changes: Are sometimes part of the process. Please communicate any changes with us by email, fax or in writing as we do not accept verbal changes.  Every change, however, does make us generate a new proof so we ask that you submit your file as ready as it can be as time charges may occur.

Colours: Please convert all colours to CMYK. RGB or Pantone will not be accepted.  If you are unsure about the colours in your file, please provide a printed colour reference and ask  for a printed colour proof.  We will adjust the file to match your reference as close as possible.  Without a colour reference or colour proof request, we cannot guarantee we can reproduce a particular result.

Crop Marks:  Please do not add crop marks

FTP:  Coming soon.

Fonts:  PDF high resolution with fonts embedded (no transparency)  OR if required, make sure PostScript fonts have been included

Image Resolution:  Make images 300 - 400 dpi

Proofing:  At The Press Room, we try our very best to review your files and make sure there are no spelling errors or redundancies.  We will communicate to you any errors we find.  However, once approved by the Customer, any errors or omissions are the responsibility of the Customer.  We urge you to review your email proof carefully, and if in doubt, order a printed proof as extra charges may apply to changes in the original specifications or changes made after approval.
